What kind of portable P.A system do you use?
Every tuesday we set up two speakers in the lobby of the church to have music playing when students show up. When we go outside we use a powered speaker with a mic, and a jack plugged into an iPhone. Having multiple systems is a pain. Having tons of cords that are being constantly used and damaged is frusterating. This spring we have been looking for a powered speaker that we could use outside and we came across this little beauty! Its the Behringer EUROLIVE B115W Active 2-Way 15-Inch PA Speaker System with Bluetooth Wireless Technology.
Here is what it can do: (taken from website)
1. Bluetooth Stereo-Ready
The days of tape decks, CD players and even MP3 devices are long gone. Now your music lives on your phone or computer tablet, so you can stop searching for those outdated cables and fancy adapters. Now with a simple wave of your hand, you can stream music from any Bluetooth audio-equipped device such as your iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, even your laptop computer.
2. Built-in Mixer & Wireless Option
Both models feature built-in 2-channel mixers with the same ultra-low noise, high-headroom mic preamps that have made BEHRINGER mixers legendary.
3. Power and Control
There is absolutely no substitute for amplifier power in high-performance loudspeakers; the kind of power it takes to deliver clean, in-your-face vocals and chest-thumping bass day in and day out. That’s why we gave these bad boys 1000 Watts of bi-amplified, digitally processed output power.
Here is what we love about Behringer EUROLIVE B115W speakers.
1. We can hook up our iPhones through bluetooth. How handy is that? No more cords!!!
2. We can hook up a wireless mic to it!!! This is the icing on the cake. I love that we can run around with a mic leading games outside. Looking forward to using this.
3. The price. It’s $349.99 on amazon. That is a great deal. Add another $150 and you will get two wireless mics. That is a sweet sound system for about $500.
This Behringer EUROLIVE B115W speaker looks awesome. We are planning on using this speaker during the summer for soccer camps, hanging out at the skatepark, hanging out at the beach, and wherever we want to blast music.
What P.A System do you use? How do you use it during the summer?
