What do you use to broadcast your youth ministry online program ?
We are all learning about how to stream our content. Youth ministry has changed more in the last few weeks than it has in the last few years. We are all adapting to our new digital life. I can’t imagine youth ministry returning to normal until there is a way to combat this virus. Even if you were to open up the doors of your youth ministry students might not be there because of the fear associated with this pandemic.
With every youth worker pivoting to a new digital reality the question is: What do you use to broadcast? One of the best ways to broadcast that I have seen on the market is Ecamm Live. It’s a versatile and easy to use way to broadcast your youth services to facebook live or youtube. Ecamm is easy to set up, and it’s affordable at $12 a month.
Here are some of the features of Ecamm Live:
Stream to multiple locations. You can broadcast to Facebook, youtube, twitch easily. You could broadcast a Fortnite game with the small group or a sermon that was prerecorded.
One of the best ways to interact with students in the live nudge. If a student has subscribed to your YouTube account or likes your facebook page, the live feature will notify them that youth is starting. It’s a simple way to attract those students that you have been trying to reach.
You can add guests. With this feature you can live stream up to five guests with your. You could interview them one at a time, or have a panel discussion.
One fun way this feature could be used is creating a huge rock paper scissors completion and the winner would win food ordered to their house.
You can put your own branding on it. With the $12 a month version you can put your own logo and branding on it. You can easily put text on the bottom of the screen for a text for prayer or a custom message.
This allows for students to know that this is your content, and it will bump up engagement.
One of the cool features is that you can create a countdown clock and other incredible overlays.
Publish prerecorded content. Don’t preaching your sermon live. Prerecord it and allow for your group to watch it. If you push it to another platform they could create watch parties.
We are working on a post about how to live stream to instagram live. That will come out next week.
One of the ways that we use this feature is to have content in the preservice. Any announcements that need to be engaged with, this is the way to start up a digital service. It allows for students to join the stream before it starts.
This is a fun and easy way to up your live stream game. You don’t need any expensive equipment. You could easily hook up a camera and stream, or you could just use your laptop. Ecamm Live is an incredible broadcasting tool that a youth worker can use to reach more students in your community.
