I have used Elegant Themes from the start.  When I created this site, I made sure that I did some research and found the best place to go for wordpress themes.  And I found that place, Elegant Themes.  For $40 dollars I could have access to tons of themes and support for those themes.

Aggregate was a theme I found when I was trying to rebrand my site.  My site before looked great, but it was confusing.  I asked a few people to view it and they did, and I watched them check it out for the first time and I knew that I had to change it.  It was cluttered, and hard to read.  I needed a change, so I moved over to Aggregate.

Basic Features

unlimited color schemes

Aggregate comes with various background textures and the ability to adjust the background color and font colors giving you an unlimited number of possibilites.

optional blog-style structure

Even though Aggregate was created to be a CMS with a Page-Based structure, you can also run the theme like a normal blog instead.

dozens of fonts

Aggregate comes with various font options, allowing you to adjust the header and body text independently.

custom widgets

Aggregate comes with some cool new widgets, such as the Recent Videos slider, Photostream and Popular Posts.

automated thumbnail resizing

This theme utilizes timthumb to automatically resize your thumbnail images. Because of this, only one thumbnail images is required per post, despite the various thumbnail sizes used in the theme.

advertising management

With Aggregate you can place 125×125 banner images in your sidebar and 468×60 ads to your post pages with ease. Advertisements are handled from within wp-admin, and can be turned on and off at any time.

If you are looking for a wordpress theme that is easy to use and is able to be adjusted make your way over to Elegant Themes .  You will not be disappointed.  (I am an affiliate with elegant themes.  This is a way to make some money to pay for this site.  I would never endorse something I don’t believe in 100% )

Does this theme let you create 2nd level sub categories of 1st level sub categories? I haven’t seen a sample of that yet, but your 1st level ones are very easy to navigate. I’m looking at another theme (also very nice: WP-Smooth) that does do that, but this Aggregate theme seems a little easier for a reader to glide over. By the way, thank you very much for posting this. It’s nice to see a real website sample.

    • I don’t think the aggregate them has a 2nd level subcategories. I tend to focus on 1st level categories because the user will get lost. I personally want everything at max 3 clicks away!
